Remembrance Sunday

Residents from The Manor House Gosforth and The Manor House Whickham joined in community Remembrance Day events on Sunday 10th November.

Joining the event in Gosforth was Allan Wilby who lives at The Manor House Gosforth. Allan was delighted to have been asked to lay a wreath at the local St Aidan’s Church on behalf of everyone at The Manor House Gosforth. Allan said “The event was a moving tribute to all those who lost their lives in battle”.

In Whickham, Bernadette Clinton attended the Remembrance Day event at the War Memorial in the centre of the town. Bernadette said “it was a moving tribute and a lot of people from the local community attended”. Bernadette also took a moment to be photographed next to one of the amazing crocheted toppers displayed on a nearby pillar box.
