The Manor House Harrogate hosted its first summer fair on Saturday 29 June in glorious sunny weather.
Everyone enjoyed browsing various stalls with homemade bread and cakes and arts and craft items, alongside fair favourites such as the tombola. For lunch the home chefs created a delicious hot and cold buffet with a whole range of sweet treats. Musical entertainment was provided in the garden by ukelele band the Spa Town Ukes.
A team of staff from luxury care home Wetherby Manor took part in the Pretty Muddy Race For Life at Temple Newsam in Leeds on Saturday (1 June).
Home manager Judith Scurr said: "The event was great fun and together the team raised £350 for Cancer Research UK. We'd like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity for such a good cause. We're all keen to do the run again next year too."
Karen Brimble, operations manager at luxury elderly care provider Hadrian Healthcare Group, has gained Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
IOSH is the only organisation in the world that offers chartered membership to health and safety practitioners, recognising the highest professional standards.
Lynn Cuthbertson and Sharon Harrison have taken up new roles at The Manor House care home in Barnard Castle.
Lynn is now Home manager having previously been deputy manager, and Sharon is the new deputy manager having previously been principal senior carer.
A new luxury care home in Harrogate was officially opened by the Mayor of Harrogate Councillor Bernard Bateman MBE and the Mayoress Mrs Linda Bateman, on Friday 7 December.
Andrew Jones MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough also attended the event.
