£6M Wetherby Manor Has 'Wow' Factor

Hadrian Healthcare Group’s new £6 million luxury care development in Wetherby has opened.

Wetherby Manor is the company’s ninth care home in the north of England. Hadrian Healthcare Group has invested over £50 million in the care sector since 2008, employs over 650 people and holds the Investors in People Silver award.

'Lumberjill' Mrs Neale Goes Back In Time

Mrs Ella Neale is going back in time with volunteers from Groundwork North East in a project to recognise the work of the ‘lumberjills’ during the second world war.

When men working for the Forestry Commission were called up to join the forces in 1939, young women were recruited to fill their jobs through the Women’s Land Army. The specialist Women’s Timber Corp was formed in 1942. They were posted across the country to the working forest areas.

£6M Wetherby Manor Official Opening

The official opening of Hadrian Healthcare Group’s new £6 million development in Wetherby - Wetherby Manor - took place on Thursday 21 March.

Guests of honour were botanist Dr David Bellamy OBE, Elmet and Rothwell MP Alec Shelbrooke and Wetherby councillor John Procter.

Wetherby Open Weekend 23-24 March

Staff at Wetherby Manor, Hadrian Healthcare Group’s £6 million care development in the centre of Wetherby in Yorkshire, are now preparing to welcome the first residents who move in at the end of the month.

The newly built luxury care home with eight adjacent supported living suites has already attracted a lot of interest and an open weekend is being held on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March, from 10am to 4pm.

New Manager For The Manor House Gosforth

Pam Gould has been appointed manager at The Manor House care home in Gosforth, part of Hadrian Healthcare Group.

Pam began her career as a registered general nurse at Newcastle General Hospital in 1974, and has worked on wards and in operating theatres in the UK and New Zealand. She is also a qualified social worker specialising in older persons’ care and mental health. Before moving into the care home sector Pam was a staff nurse at St Oswald’s Hospice.
