A taste of future technology has impressed residents at The Manor House care home in Gosforth.
Wearing lightweight virtual reality headsets they have ‘revisited’ favourite places and seen wildlife in close up with Newcastle-based company Reminiscience.
Football legend Peter Beardsley visited residents at The Manor House Whickham for homemade afternoon tea.
Newcastle born Peter trained at Wallsend Boys’ Club and played for Newcastle United twice. Peter appeared for England 59 times, once as Captain and was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
Betty Melrose celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends on 18 April at The Manor House care home in Whickham.
A special birthday gift had been organised by staff at The Manor House too.

Over 50 members of staff across Hadrian Healthcare Group’s five Manor House homes are currently undertaking apprenticeship programmes.
The programmes cover all business areas including health and social care, food preparation and cooking, cleaning and environmental services, customer service and business administration to management and leadership.
