Hadrian Healthcare Group Sponsors Oulton Raidettes

Women’s rugby league club the Oulton Raidettes has received a boost of £800 from local care home Oulton Manor, part of Hadrian Healthcare Group.

Kim Eames, lifestyle coordinator at Oulton Manor said: “The club is based close to Oulton Manor and we have great views over the pitch so our residents can enjoy watching matches both at the ground and from the comfort of our lounges.

“The sponsorship has paid for the new season kit for the U16s team and for new training kit for the open age team. The U16s won their first match of the season in their new kit which was a great start for them.”

One of Oulton Manor’s staff Danielle Anderson, a housekeeper, also plays second row for the Oulton Raidettes open age team.

Danielle said: “I was brought up with rugby as my dad used to coach a local team and I’ve been playing for Oulton since I was 16. Since then I’ve had the chance to play for the Yorkshire and England Lionesses too. I really enjoy the buzz you get out of playing and my team is like one big family.”

Matty Bullough, head coach for the Oulton Raidettes said: “Women’s rugby has grown massively in recent years at Oulton giving many girls a chance to participate in a sport that is becoming one of the most recognised female sports in the UK.

“Without supporters like Hadrian Healthcare Group this would not be achievable.”
