MP Visits The Manor House Knaresborough On Care Home Open Day

Andrew Jones, member of parliament for Harrogate and Knaresborough, visited The Manor House care home in Knaresborough as part of the national Care Home Open Day celebrations on 17 June.

He met residents and their families and friends as well staff and other visitors from the local community.

During the day there were toe-tapping performances from singers Bluebird Entertainment and Jon Dean, and a delicious homemade afternoon tea was served from 2pm.

Lucy Gradwell, manager of The Manor House said: “It’s been a lovely day with residents’ grandchildren and great grandchildren joining in too. We hope first-time visitors enjoyed their tours and chatting with staff about our approach to personalised care as well as our superb facilities.”

Mr Jones, pictured left with Lucy and Hadrian Healthcare managing director Jas Gill, said: “Knaresborough is a town which welcomes people of all ages and values their experience and knowledge.  Homes likes The Manor House reinforce what I have found on my many visits to care homes across this constituency.  And that is that care homes are filled with unique, intelligent and charming characters, and run by special people that really do care.

“It was great to meet the residents and staff at The Manor House in Knaresborough and help them celebrate their important place in our community.”
