Hadrian Healthcare Completes Major Refurbishment of Gosforth Care Home

A major refurbishment and redesign of The Manor House care home in Gosforth, Newcastle has been completed by luxury care developer and provider Hadrian Healthcare Group.

The aim of the scheme was to create more space for social activities, larger dining areas and a lighter look throughout.

The Manor House Gosforth were delighted to welcome children from the Percy Hedley Foundation Northern Counties School earlier in November.

The Manor House Whickham Rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC

The Manor House Whickham has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

CQC inspectors made an unannounced, three day visit to the home recently in order to carry out a comprehensive assessment. They interviewed residents and their families as well as members of staff and the management team. In addition to reviewing the records maintained by the home, they sought feedback from the local authority and other professionals who work with the home. The CQC assessors also sought information regarding The Manor House from Healthwatch, an independent national champion which gathers information and represents the views of the public about health and social care

Anchor Hanover expands with acquisition of high-quality homes

Anchor Hanover has taken on five high-quality homes previously owned and run by Hadrian Healthcare Group.

The homes, in Yorkshire and County Durham, provide a total of 382 en-suite rooms for older people, including older people with dementia. The deal brings the total number of care homes operated by Anchor Hanover up to 114.

First Summer Fair for The Manor House Harrogate

The Manor House Harrogate hosted its first summer fair on Saturday 29 June in glorious sunny weather.

Everyone enjoyed browsing various stalls with homemade bread and cakes and arts and craft items, alongside fair favourites such as the tombola. For lunch the home chefs created a delicious hot and cold buffet with a whole range of sweet treats. Musical entertainment was provided in the garden by ukelele band the Spa Town Ukes.

Wetherby Manor Staff Get Pretty Muddy

A team of staff from luxury care home Wetherby Manor took part in the Pretty Muddy Race For Life at Temple Newsam in Leeds on Saturday (1 June).

Home manager Judith Scurr said: "The event was great fun and together the team raised £350 for Cancer Research UK. We'd like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity for such a good cause. We're all keen to do the run again next year too."

Lynn Cuthbertson and Sharon Harrison have taken up new roles at The Manor House care home in Barnard Castle.

Lynn is now Home manager having previously been deputy manager, and Sharon is the new deputy manager having previously been principal senior carer.
